Anger is good! This may seem contrary to what you've always believed about anger. You've probably spent a lot of time and energy trying to get rid of it. That would be a big mistake. Did you know that God was angry at times? If God was angry, how could it be wrong to feel anger? I propose the issue is not in the emotion itself, but in how we express it. You'll benefit from counseling for anger issues by learning healthy ways to use your anger, becoming more emotionally insightful, and developing skills to become connected deeper relationally.

First, let me say that Anger is a HEALTHY emotion. The problem is - that many times the ways the anger is expressed is not healthy. That is why the goal of therapy is not to suppress the anger, but rather to learn ways to express it in a healthy manner. Once that is done, the final goal is to resolve the underlying reason for the anger, thus eliminating the need for that particular expression of anger.

At Home or Private Discreet Intensives
Grey Matters International and the work of Kevin J. Fleming, Ph.D approaches issues of anger management in a very humane yet fresh perspective. You see, anger is a normal emotion but it is the valence (intensity) as well as the coupling choice of what one does with this that is the problem. Telling someone to "not" do it or modifying behavior with a trite psychological plan that only breeds a compliant response is not the way to change anger. Brainwave optimization is a new cutting edge technology that allows one to rewire circuitry responsible for reactivity driving the anger.
