Bullying in schools can greatly impact a child's ability to learn, make friends, and develop positive self-esteem in the long-term.3 To help prevent harassment and intimidation from occurring, the Saratoga Springs City School District has implemented the Dignity for All Students Act. This statewide program is aimed at proactive measures to prevent bullying from occurring. Children learn to care for one another, be responsible, and be respectful of those who are unlike themselves. Parents also get involved in the process, by teaching their children appropriate behaviors at home and working closely with the school district to address any issues that arise.
