Therefore, it is crucial to work with children by meeting them where they are at in their development, as well as within their strengths and interests. It is essential that therapist provide children with healing modalities such as Play Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy and other child-centered therapies, allowing the child to express their thoughts and emotions in a non-intrusive way.

My approach when working with children under 12 years old is to ensure that they are provided with a positive and safe experience of therapy. I prefer to tailor therapy to their developmental stage by creating a fun environment that may involve play, art, and activities during sessions.
