I use psychotherapy to help individuals address underlying sources of ongoing painful problems such as anxiety, depression, anger, and chronic problematic relationship patterns. This may include exploring past family dynamics and significant childhood events that have affected development. Increased understanding of the past can often lead to improvement in the present. I recommend tackling problems at their source because this allows the possibility of more permanent and deeper healing than can be achieved by simply addressing symptoms.
