My approach draws from research and is anchored in my "real life" experience as a clinician and a mom of four. I have a PhD in clinical psychology, which means that after college, I went to graduate school for six years, including a one-year clinical internship. I was trained to conduct and interpret psychological research and to provide psychotherapy. I also completed many hours of supervised clinical experience after earning my doctoral degree and passed a national and state exam to qualify for licensure. I regularly undertake continuing education to ensure that my knowledge and skills are up to date.
