I work with children aged 6+ and begin with exploring and establishing the parameters within which children feel safe. Depending on what those parameters might be, we might use art therapy to establish boundaries (for example, by validating client's inner knowledge of what is 'good' or 'bad'), or to make space for difficult feelings.
