I believe psychotherapy can be an excellent addition to the support you may already be receiving from a recovery group such as a 12-step or outpatient intensive therapy group. I use a cognitive behavioral approach to help you change the patterns of thinking that result in your turning to your drug of choice, whether it be alcohol, drugs, sex, relationships, or even shopping. I am also trained in EMDR for Addictions, which has been proven very effective in lessening or completely stopping some cravings. Together we will choose the best treatment plan for your needs.
