I then help them understand the nature of their problems from the standpoint of their thinking, emotions and behavior. I teach people about the neurophysiology of the brain and how that relates to change. Through the use of illustrations, handouts, and metaphors I help them to see that the change they want is possible for them. I give them specific step-by-step directions about how to effect this change and encourage and coach along every step.
