I use an evidence-based approach to therapy. We usually go to see a therapist when we're wanting something to be different in our lives. Learning and growing throughout our lives is a good and courageous thing. I work with people to help them get the change they are looking for. I seek to create a safe place and work collaboratively so people can reach their goals and begin feel happy with who they are, their lives, and relationships. I participate in many learning opportunities and I bring new ideas and inspiration to my work with clients.

Psychotherapy is sacred work, and I hold a very safe and honest space for people to show up authentically. I use different modalities, but the most important factor is to have deep compassion and let the person know you care. Humor is essential, and there is as much laughing as crying in my office. I have been doing this work for nearly 30 years, and I am still in awe of the capacity people have to change.

You know things seem off track yet can't seem to identify why. Things feel OFF! When we work together, we will gently learn the core of the distress that you are experiencing. As we learn your life history, we may find that some of the distress is rooted in early childhood trauma and attachment wounding. We will embrace and cherish all parts of yourself and learn about the challenging messages you may have grown up with that manifested into the distress you feel today. Distress can be a messenger, an alarm telling you that it is time to heal experiences from earlier in life. In our work together, we'll use EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy and Expressive Arts to help you thrive.

I provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). EMDR has been shown to be highly effective for decreasing symptoms of PTSD, and treating grief, trauma, intrusive images, negative self thoughts, anxiety, fear, phobias and panic. Using EMDR is my favorite way treat traumatic grief and has my highly effective with my clients who are grieving. EMDR Therapy helps to reduce the intensity of sharp feelings, images, and thoughts. It does not erase memories or thoughts, cause you to forget about a memory or you loved one, or hypnotize you. My services are offered only virtually and are done by video. I offer a safe environment for you to process your grief and trauma.

I provide individual and group psychotherapy that is focused on helping men and women cope more effectively with compulsive or out-of-control sexual behaviors or anger management. My approach to helping clients with compulsive sexual behaviors is multidimensional and is specifically designed to help you to heal yourself and your relationships.
