Anxiety can cause a lot of fear in moving forward in life. I work with clients in helping them turn their negative thinking into positive thinking. I help them to re-frame negative events, role playing scenarios, work on using affirmations, and help them to feel empowered in facing their fears using a variety of tools. It may include meditation or relaxation therapy. Stress can wreak havoc on our bodies and my goal for the client is for them to learn how to calm their mind even in the most stressful situations.

Coping skills during the difficult times is important to practice throughout life events. Even when times are "going well", practicing these strategies will help one manage through the more difficult times as they arise. This is a client-centered approach in which the client is met "where s/he is at" in his/her journey in dealing with stress and anxiety-related issues.
