The Bureau for Children and Families oversees programs such as Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Families in a financial crisis can enroll in the Emergency Assistance Program, and those who cannot afford to buy their children school clothes can take part in the School Clothing Allowance program.
