Meet Amanda Frudakis-Ruckel, LCSW, TCTSY-F
Welcome! I’m Amanda, a therapist based in Long Valley, NJ. I provide psychotherapy, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, clinical supervision, and mental health contributions—all with the goal of helping you grow, trust yourself, and thrive.
Life is full of transitions, challenges, and opportunities for change. Therapy with me is a space where you can find your voice, navigate obstacles, and build a life that truly aligns with who you are. If you’re ready to take that step, I’m here to support you. Reach out, and let’s begin.
About My Approach
We all carry beliefs about ourselves and some of them hold us back. You might think, “I’ve never been happy, so I never will be,” or “Change just isn’t possible for me.” These thoughts may feel like fact, but that doesn’t make them true.
At the same time, hope can feel out of reach—until you take a closer look. You can create a meaningful, fulfilling life, even if you don’t have proof yet. Your past doesn’t define your future.
My approach to therapy is honest, open-minded, and rooted in evidence-based practices—blended with warmth, humor, and deep respect for your unique journey. Together, we’ll explore new possibilities and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. Change isn’t about waiting for proof—it’s about creating it.

My Passion
My passion for therapy comes from a deep, wholehearted desire to help others live with authenticity, self-acceptance, and fewer regrets. I believe true personal growth often requires us to confront life’s most difficult aspects—our fears, vulnerabilities, and the parts of ourselves we might try to ignore or hide. It’s in these moments of self-exploration that real transformation happens.
I am endlessly fascinated by what it means to be human—the complexity of our emotions, the stories we tell ourselves, and the ways we seek meaning and connection. This curiosity keeps me constantly learning, growing, and deeply engaged in my work. As a therapist, I don’t just guide—I walk alongside my clients, providing support as they navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, and deep existential questions. Through both professional expertise and genuine empathy, I create a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to shape a life that feels true to you.
A Typical Session with Amanda
A therapy session with me is a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself. We’ll start by checking in on how you’ve been feeling and what’s on your mind. Some days, we might explore emotions, past experiences, or relationship patterns. Other times, we’ll focus on practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, or life changes. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, and help you uncover insights.
