Hello! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctorate in human and organizational psychology with over 15 years of experience working with adults, teens, and couples. I understand it can be challenging to even start the process of therapy and so you and I will work together to create a plan to support your goals. I value evidence-based practices such as CBT, goal setting, and looking to you, the client, as the expert of your life.

Sometimes we just need to be reminded of things we already know but are no longer utilizing and sometimes we need support to stop doing things that no longer work for us.
You and I will process emotions and will immediately begin working on tools and coping skills to reduce symptoms so you can find relief. I like to front-load with skills and then continue processing both past and current events in your life. Sometimes we need people that are not front and center to whatever is happening in our life to be unbiased witnesses. Therapists act as that witnesses and at times are the people that can say the hard things that your family or friends feel like they cannot say.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, women in transition, peripartum support, infertility, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem related issues, and teens.
I have worked in residential treatment facilities, managed care, group practices, and private practice. I have extensive history working with teens and women in transition which includes but is not limited to pregnancy and postpartum support. Women in transition can also include support during job changes, relationship changes, role changes in marriage or motherhood, grief, or natural transition such as aging. Parenting support is another passion of mine and I would love to support you during this wonderful but often challenging time in life.
