Pathways to Well-being

."Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese ..." (Mary Oliver).   In today's society we have few soft places to land; where we can feel safe enough to understand and honour our courage through this adventure called Life.   Our pain and suffering is often a guide post to our healing.  My purpose is to provide you with the empathy and tools you need to listen deeply to your Self and experience, express, and explore a path toward greater clarity, calm, and wisdom.

I am a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose career has spanned over twenty-five years providing social-emotional support to women and their families.  I am a certified Mind-Body Intelligence™ practitioner and a HEAL™ certified equine assisted psychotherapy facilitator.

Therapy is like weaving a tapestry.  No two women are the same. Therefore, I offer a multi-faceted, person-centered therapeutic approach to guide your journey. Any combination of 'talk therapy', mindfulness practice, equine-assisted therapy, nature-based therapy, and expressive arts is available.   You may choose one or more.

Working with horses, nature, and expressive arts does not require prior experience.  Each practice nurtures your ability to attend to your experience in a non-judgmental, compassionate way.   Belonging and connection, is essential to our well-being.  I offer a Women Gather group twice a month as a safe, joyful community.

I can support you to:
  • Become less emotionally reactive
  • Feel more confident in negotiating boundaries with others
  • Become more compassionate toward yourself
  • Reduce physical and emotional symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma
  • Find a place of wholeness despite an illness or disability
  • Empower oneself as a leader (parent, coach, teacher, manager, professional, student)
  • Discover the joy of play again

I am experienced in helping with the following challenges:
  • Anxiety (including social anxiety)
  • Depression
  • Loss and grief
  • Divorce and co-parenting
  • Life transitions

Finding a therapist you can trust and connect with is a very personal process.  I invite you to give me a no-obligation phone call to get a sense of who I am and how we could work together @ 215-880-7015.
