In Person and Telehealth
If you're struggling with sexual compulsivity or drug/alcohol use, I'm a knowledgeable, authentic, neutral co-pilot. I'm a master's-level, licensed associate clinician with 10+ years in mental health and substance use care. I'll help you explore deeper struggles, notice blind spots, and build flexibility with thoughts and emotions to move toward your values.
How I Can Help
Together, we will address sexual compulsivity, including pornography concerns, or drug/alcohol use while exploring deeper issues such as PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, or unmet needs. We'll practice leaning into difficult thoughts and emotions with self-compassion, responding more flexibly to urges/distress, and moving toward your values.
My Approach
My clients describe me as authentic, direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I help you explore what's beneath patterns that are causing problems, with curiosity and honest feedback. I bring an outside perspective that is evidence-based. We'll practice making room for difficult thoughts and emotions, treating yourself with kindness, and choosing actions that reflect your values.
What to Expect in Your First Session
We'll discuss what brings you in—whether it's sexual compulsivity, pornography concerns, or drug/alcohol use—and what you'd like to change. We'll begin exploring deeper emotional struggles, clarify what matters to you, and identify ways to respond more flexibly to thoughts and feelings as you move toward your values.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a therapist because I want to help people understand themselves more deeply and build lives that reflect their values. Working through sexual compulsivity or substance use can involve painful emotions, experiences, and unmet needs. I value helping you approach those struggles with compassion and develop more flexible ways to respond.
Licensure and Clinical Supervision
I hold an associate license and am completing the standard process of supervised experience required for independent licensure. This is a supervised private practice. It is owned and managed by a master’s level, non-independent licensee under Board-approved clinical supervision pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211. Supervisor is Jill Fabian LISAC LCSW.
