Judith Logue, Ph.D.
PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL, June 20, 2017 — Marquis Who’s Who®, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Dr. Logue a Lifetime Achiever. A Psychotherapist, Psychoanalyst, and Business and Relationship Coach, Dr. Logue has been working for 50 years with a broad range of patients while maintaining her practice in Princeton, NJ, until 2012, when she relocated to Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Her expertise, which includes long- and short-term psychotherapy, crisis therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychoanalysis, coaching, teaching, and research, all contribute to the successes she has shared with individuals, couples and groups. She also previously practiced in California, as well as New York City.
In private practice since 1970, Dr. Logue is also the Owner and President of two companies, Goldilox ® Company Inc., since 1997, and ShAIRing ® Company since 2001. In addition to forming her independent practice, she was employed as Clinical Social Worker for the Veteran’s Administration in Newark, New Jersey, in 1967, as psychotherapist for Santa Barbara Mental Health Services from 1967 to 1969, as supervisor for the Santa Barbara Counseling Center, 1968-1969, as clinician for the Fifth Avenue Center for Psychotherapy, New York City, 1969-1970, and as senior clinician and clinical faculty for Rutgers Medical School, 1972-1975.
During her years in practice, Dr. Logue has spent time in other vocations as well, including teaching as an instructor at Marymount Manhattan College, as a visiting lecturer at Bryn Mawr College School of Social Work and Social Research, and as a Faculty Member at New York Center for Psychoanalytic Training. She is a founding member and was on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of NJ (now the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of NJ); and a faculty member and on the Board of Directors at Southern New Jersey Psychoanalytic Institute in Brigantine.
Dr. Logue completed a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Wheaton College, followed by a Master’s of Social Work at Rutgers University, and PhD in Social Work with a psychology dissertation and honors from Rutgers Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She is certified in psychoanalysis by the New York Center for Psychoanalytic Training. She is a Board Certified Forensic Examiner of the American College of Forensic Examiners and holds four diplomates: Forensic Medicine; Psychological Specialties; Medical Psychology; and Social Work. She is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She was a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Dr. Logue has also obtained Coach Certification Training at MentorCoach.
Dr. Logue is a member of numerous professional organizations. These memberships include: the American Psychoanalytic Association, The International Psychoanalytical Association, the American Psychological Association, the Southeast Florida Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology, the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work, the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis, and the National Association of Social Workers. She serves, and has served, in a number of roles, such as president, board member, or executive councilor. She currently serves as Councilor-at-Large on the Executive Council of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and on the board of two divisions of the American Psychological Association.
Named in several reference materials for her contributions to the field, including the National Registry of Psychoanalysts, the International Biography of Contemporary Achievement, and the Directory of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Logue has also been highlighted in more than 50 editions of Who’s Who, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who of American Women. She is the recipient of a Distinguished Faculty Award from the Atlantic County (NJ) Society for Psychoanalytic Training and an Outstanding Service Award by the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Throughout her career, Dr. Logue has published many articles on various topics – gender issues, women’s psychology, narcissism, anxiety, sexual exclusivity, psychohistory and family and couple dynamics – in professional journals, such as the International Journal of Social Psychiatry, The Psychoanalytic Review, Voices, Current Issues in Psychoanalytic Practice, Clio’s Psyche Journal, Clinical Social Work Journal, and Controversy in Psychotherapy. She has written a chapter on Gender Matters for Gender in the Therapy Hour, and several book reviews, and has served on the editorial boards of The Examiner, the journal of the American College of Forensic Examiners; and The American Psychoanalyst, the quarterly publication of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
Married to A. Douglas Logue, MD, she has one daughter, two stepsons and three grandchildren. Dr. Logue holds certifications as a scuba diver and maintains a firearms license. She also enjoys ballroom dancing and is active in aviation as a member of Women in Aviation International, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and as an associate member of the Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots.
