I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist in San Diego. I help individuals and couples work through relationship challenges, intimacy concerns, sexual difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life transitions.
Many people come to therapy because they feel stuck in repeating patterns, disconnected from themselves or their partner, uncertain about how to move forward, or ready for something in their life or relationship to change. My work is active, thoughtful, and grounded in helping clients develop greater awareness, connection, authenticity, meaning, and fulfillment.
A Deeper Approach to Change
Therapy can help create space to slow down, understand what is happening more clearly, and make more conscious choices. As self-awareness deepens, it often becomes possible to respond differently to emotions, relationships, sexuality, conflict, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
My approach is supportive, direct, non-judgmental, and grounded in the belief that people are not problems to be fixed. Therapy is a process of becoming more aware, more connected, more authentic, and more able to create a life and relationships that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
An Integrative, Mind-Body Perspective
My work integrates somatic psychotherapy, sex therapy, couples therapy, existential-humanistic psychotherapy, positive psychology, and practical tools for meaningful change.
I hold a Master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have advanced training in the Hakomi Method. My approach pays attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to bodily experience, relationship patterns, present-moment awareness, and the deeper questions of meaning, intimacy, authenticity, and personal growth.
Working with Couples
In couples therapy, I help partners move out of repeating cycles of conflict, emotional distance, avoidance, resentment, or disconnection. Our work may focus on:
- communication problems
- trust and repair
- emotional and sexual intimacy
- desire differences
- infidelity and trust repair
- major life transitions
The goal is not simply to stop conflict. It is to help partners better understand themselves and each other while creating a more honest, connected, and rewarding relationship.
Sex Therapy
As a Certified Sex Therapist, I provide a direct, sex-positive, and non-judgmental space to talk about sexuality and intimacy.
I work with individuals and couples addressing desire differences, sexless relationships, sexual difficulties, sexual communication, intimacy concerns, infidelity, sexual compulsivity, and questions related to sexuality, identity, and relationship structure.
My practice is LGBTQIA+, poly-aware, kink-aware, and welcoming of consensually non-monogamous clients and relationships.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Clients have described me as calm, engaged, thoughtful, and direct. I try to create a space where people can speak honestly about the parts of life, relationships, sexuality, and emotional experience that can be difficult to talk about elsewhere.
I offer therapy in person in San Diego and online throughout California.
