Welcome! Great job with taking this step towards prioritizing your mental health! Helen Paulucci has been in practice for over 25 years and she has a warm compassionate approach leading to feeling a sense of hope, calmness, and peace. Helen is passionate about helping others and exemplifies a life coach in the therapy process. She has been working in the mental health field helping many individuals achieve their goals on their wellness journey.

Helen graduated from Adelphi University with a Masters in Social Work in 1997 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both NY and NJ. She has worked in outpatient settings, inpatient settings, community based organizations, schools, residential facilities across two states. Currently, she holds a virtual private practice in both New York and New Jersey. In addition, she also currently works at Rutgers University for the past six years. Helen has worked with a diversity of individuals in her career. She also allies with the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Her specialties include Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Life Transitions, Relationship Challenges, Addictions, and Grief and Loss. Therapies include CBT, DBT, Trauma work, Internal Family Systems, Strength based, Solution focused therapy. Helen works with adults ages 18 and over.

What you can expect from working with Helen Paulucci are the following: being able to lower anxiety, improve mood, lower any depressive symptoms, work through any life transitions, explore how trauma can be worked through using evidenced based practices, target any addictive behaviors or patterns that are harmful to your wellness, work through any grief and loss feelings, improve communication with family, friends, or partner, and improve work/life balance.

Helen takes some insurance plans and she also has a sliding scale for those that are eligible. Out of pocket fees are as follows: Initial session: 150.00 (60 minutes); Follow up individual sessions: 110.00 (60 minutes), 85.00 (45 minutes), 60.00 (30 minutes). Sessions can be weekly or every other week, or as appropriate. Helen can take credit cards and other form of payments as well. Helen uses Headway for her billing so that she can focus on the therapy work with you.
