At John G. Kuna, Psy.D. and Associates we view therapy as a process of self-discovery. We see ourselves as guides, allies and navigators on your journey to self-knowledge and healthier lives--physically, mentally and spiritually.Our trained and licensed psychologists offer a supportive and empathic environment. EXPERIENCE

 As a Scranton, PA native (Dupont, to be precise :), Dr. Kuna received his BA in Philosophy from the University of Scranton, and later an MA in Psychology from Marywood University. His doctoral education was completed at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), earning a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.

 
Practicing psychology for over 15 years, Dr. Kuna has extensive experience working with diverse populations by serving at such sites as Clarks Summit State Hospital, Kids Peace National Center, and the Youth Empowerment System (YES) Facility in Blackwood, NJ. Dr. Kuna is also currently credentialed with doctoral privileges at KidsPeace Children's Hospital (KPCH) in Orefield, PA

Our practice offers an eclectic or integrative approach to psychotherapy. In this way, we can draw from multiple theoretical approaches to best fit a person's individual needs. Cognitive behavioral, family systems, and interpersonal approaches are often utilized. We work with children, adults, couples, families and teens.
