You’re the one everybody counts on. The one who keeps it together, pushes through, and gets stuff done, even when you’re exhausted. On the outside, you may seem capable and successful, but internally you feel like you are drowning.  You are running on pressure, self-criticism, and anxiety that never fully quiets down.  Replaying conversations, over thinking decisions, and always planning for what's next weighs on your mind leaving you to feel like no matter how much you accomplish, it’s never quite enough. Rest feels uncomfortable. Slowing down feels unsafe. And burnout has started to feel less like a phase and more like your normal.

For many people struggling with burnout, perfectionism, and anxiety, there’s often a deeper story underneath the constant pressure to keep going. You may have learned early on that being responsible, successful, helpful, or “good” was tied to feeling accepted, valued, or safe. Over time, those patterns can become exhausting — leaving you stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, people-pleasing, and never feeling like you can truly relax.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can help uncover and process some of the experiences that shaped these patterns in the first place. Rather than just talking about the stress you’re feeling now, EMDR helps your brain work through the emotional experiences and beliefs that may still be keeping you stuck, like feeling not good enough, fearing failure, or believing you always have to hold everything together.  Through the EMDR process you will be able to let go of long-standing core beliefs and approach life with confidence and self-compassion instead of constant pressure.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on helping you build a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions. Instead of getting trapped in anxiety, perfectionism, or harsh inner criticism, ACT helps you learn how to step back from those patterns with more awareness and kindness toward yourself.  ACT helps you reconnect with what truly matters to you; your values, your relationships, your wellbeing, and the kind of life you want to create, while building practical tools to manage stress and emotional overwhelm along the way.

Together, EMDR and ACT can help create both insight and lasting change. Therapy becomes a space where you can better understand yourself, heal old patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and start living in a way that feels more grounded, balanced, and aligned with who you really are, not just who you’ve felt pressured to be.
