Who I Help
I work with adults navigating the emotional and physical challenges that come with chronic pain, chronic illness, and caregiving. Many of my patients describe feeling:
  • Exhausted or worn down by daily responsibilities
  • Anxious or frustrated about an unpredictable body or future
  • Disconnected from who they used to be or what they enjoy
  • Overwhelmed by holding everything together for others

If you see yourself in these experiences, therapy can help you regain steadiness and relief.

How I Can Help You
Therapy with me focuses on helping you build resilience and reconnect with meaning. We’ll work together to help you:
  • Regain a sense of control over your daily life
  • Shift your relationship with pain or illness so it takes up less mental space
  • Manage stress and improve your mood
  • Strengthen emotional resilience and coping skills
  • Reconnect with your needs, values, and purpose
  • Prevent burnout and stay grounded while caring for others

My Approach and Methods
I use evidence-based methods tailored to your needs, combining approaches that address both mind and body:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Teaches tools to challenge unhelpful thoughts, reduce stress, and problem-solve effectively. Especially useful for improving mood, managing worry, and coping with daily limitations.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helps you make space for difficult emotions without letting them define your life. You’ll learn mindfulness and values-based action to stay present and focused on what matters most.
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): Builds awareness of how your body and mind respond to stress. Through guided breathing and mindfulness, you’ll learn to calm your nervous system and respond with clarity.
  • Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT): A neuroscience-based approach that helps you retrain how your brain interprets pain, reducing its interference with daily life.
  • Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP): Helps you explore and reconnect with what gives your life meaning — relationships, creativity, spirituality, or legacy — especially when illness or loss has disrupted your sense of purpose.

A Little More About Me and My Approach

I grew up in a family of healthcare professionals, where conversations about healing and the human body were part of daily life. Early in my career, I worked as a medical assistant and saw firsthand how emotional pain often went unseen in medical settings. That experience led me to pursue health psychology, to ensure that patients aren’t left to cope in silence.

My sessions are collaborative and grounded in real life. We might explore mood, sleep, relationships, or stress habits, because they all interact. I often incorporate mindfulness or relaxation exercises directly into our sessions, so you can experience calm and grounding in real time. If something isn’t working, we adapt — therapy should fit your life, not the other way around.
