Rooted in Resilience Psychotherapy & Wellness
About Us:
At our clinic, we offer something different—therapy that’s not only professional and trauma-informed, but also deeply compassionate and culturally grounded. We’re here for those who are often overlooked in traditional mental health spaces: racialized individuals, families navigating intergenerational stress, professionals facing burnout, and anyone longing for a place where they can just be—no code-switching required.
Many of our clients come to us carrying the weight of anxiety, stress, racial trauma, low mood, or strained relationships. You might be juggling multiple roles, managing transitions, or simply feeling stuck. We get it. And we want you to know, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Our team of therapists are highly trained and heart-led. We use evidence-based approaches—like Art Therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, Brainspotting, Hypnotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS),—but we also bring our humanity, warmth, and cultural wisdom into every session. We believe that real healing happens when therapy meets real life—and when you feel truly seen.
We prioritize relationship, honour your culture, and believe that you already hold the roots of your healing within you. Our job is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and collaboration.
Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself, your child, your partner, your family, a friend or a service user—we’re here to support your journey toward greater connection, clarity, and calm.
We offer virtual therapy across Ontario and in-person sessions in Markham. Visit www.rootedinresilience.ca to learn more or connect. Let’s rediscover your resilience—together.
