I have been in private practice for over three decades, working with adult individuals and couples. Clients describe me as warm, engaging, and
non-threatening. My style is eclectic, with training in cognitive behavioral
and relational techniques. Areas of particular interest include
relationship/intimacy building, ACOA/Dysfunction, Recovery,
sexuality/orientation/LGBT issues, women in mid-life, and
functional/alternative wellness. I feel blessed for the opportunity to assist you in
challenging old behaviors and reframing healthier narratives in your life and look forward to working with you to identify and celebrate your own inner-strengths.
I have built and maintain an extensive private practice in Davis Square, Somerville, which is a relaxed,
comfortable, and welcoming environment that is conducive to exploring issues in a caring, safe, and supportive way. It is accessible to public
transportation and plenty of free parking is available.
My practice is now Private Pay (no insurance accepted), which means that I can work with you more freely and collaboratively, and not be managed by managed care! It is quite refreshing to
know that your privacy is now truly private.
I received an MEd in Counseling Psychology in 1982 and in 1985 an MSW with Advanced Standing from Boston University. Additionally, as an Advanced Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, I have added more areas of particular interest, including Hypnotherapy and ADD/ADHD, Hypnotherapy for Pain Management, and Hypnotherapy with Immune Disorders. Previously, I implemented drug and alcohol education and prevention programs in several middle schools in the Boston area and lectured on the topic. I was also a consultant at a leading health and human service agency for twelve years where I worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
