Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient opioid addiction treatment for adults age 18 and older in Springfield, Massachusetts. We provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help our clients successfully begin on their journeys to recovery. Programming at Springfield CTC is designed to provide clients with all of the benefits of addiction treatment on a flexible, adaptable basis that fits with their schedules. Our outpatient opioid addiction treatment facility gives clients the care they need while allowing them the flexibility to attend to responsibilities at work, home, school, and other areas of life.

Springfield CTC helps each client create an achievable recovery plan. Comprehensive care is an effective solution when an inpatient program is not a practical solution due to the time commitment, cost, or other barriers. We follow the advice of leading organizations like the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) by using the most effective method of opioid addiction treatment – medication-assisted treatment. Medication-assisted treatment combines the use of prescription medication with talk therapy.

At Springfield CTC, clients can receive a prescription for either methadone or Suboxone. These medications are FDA-approved and clinically proven to significantly improve recovery outcomes. Research shows that using MAT to treat opioid addiction brings positive results, including a reduction in opioid-related deaths and higher treatment retention rates. MAT has also been linked to higher employment rates, reduced risk of contracting HIV and hepatitis C, and reduced criminal activity related to the illegal purchase of opioids like heroin.

Clients who come to Springfield CTC quickly experience how counseling can make a lasting difference in their ability to overcome opioid addiction. We offer individual and group counseling to best support client success. One-on-one counseling sessions provide individualized care and attention. Our compassionate, experienced counselors help clients understand the many factors that may influence addiction and can help them develop coping skills to navigate any obstacles they may face on their recovery journey. Group therapy sessions are used in conjunction with individual therapy. Group counseling allows clients to experience a unique form of accountability while also giving them the opportunity to receive support and encouragement. Clients in group therapy can share their stories with others who may have had similar experiences, learning firsthand that building a community of peers can be a valuable tool for long-term recovery. Achieving lasting freedom from opioid addiction is possible, and the team of professionals at Springfield CTC strives to help empower clients to take their first steps down the road to lasting recovery from opioid addiction.
