Our programs for adults age 18 and older include acute medical psychiatry, adult and senior behavioral health services, partial hospitalization, electroconvulsive therapy, and intensive outpatient services. In addition, we offer a teen and adolescent inpatient program for young people ages 10-17. The physical medicine and rehabilitation center at TrustPoint Hospital is Tennessee's premier rehab treatment center. The expert, caring staff at our state-of-the-art facility serves patients age 15 and older who have spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, COPD exacerbations, and cardiac conditions. Our rehabilitation staff members are devoted professionals who have expertise in their fields. Patients benefit from a variety of services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, medication management, experiential therapy, and family education and training. We consistently revise each patient’s treatment plan to include only the most effective treatment types for their needs. We are also proud to offer a stroke support group that meets once a month.

The senior behavioral health program is designed for women and men age 65 and older who are experiencing symptoms of dementia and other cognitive disorders and those who have anxiety disorders, paranoia, mood swings, and other mental health concerns. Most seniors stay in the behavioral health treatment center for 10-14 days, and they receive medication management and take part in group, family, and individual therapies as appropriate. To make the transition to daily life easier, we offer assistance with discharge planning.

The adolescent inpatient program assists young people ages 10-17 who need help attaining emotional stability. We serve patients who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, depressive disorders, and other mental health concerns. Once patients have stabilized, they can return home or transition to a program that provides a less intensive level of care. Adolescents in the program receive a comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation as well as 24-hour nursing care.

TrustPoint Hospital offers a unique program for individuals who are living with severe symptoms of mental health disorders. This affective disorder program is designed for adults ages 18-65 and provides treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our short-term inpatient programming benefits individuals whose severe mental health symptoms are having a negative impact and creating turmoil in their lives. We have created a caring environment in which patients receive the medical and behavioral treatment they need to stabilize and step down to other treatment levels, such as our intensive outpatient program. Some patients do not respond to traditional therapies and continue to suffer from severe symptoms. For these individuals, we offer electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). ECT is appropriate for some patients who have specific mental health conditions. This evidence-based treatment is shown to relieve symptoms of depression, including loss of self-esteem, depressed mood, sleep disturbances, and more. ECT may also be recommended when a patient's symptoms are severe and quick recovery is crucial.

The TrustPoint Hospital team understands the importance of completing thorough health evaluations, providing accurate diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans designed to empower each patient. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for every person who needs our therapeutic services.
