Welcome. I would be honored to be part of your healing journey. My therapeutic focus is on helping relationships thrive—be it the relationship you have with yourself, your romantic partner, your family, and the world-at-large.

Therapeutic Credentials and Approach

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with an M.A. and an M.B.A. I became a counselor because I experienced experienced tremendous benefit from counseling for myself and children and want to provide the same support to you. I will get what you're going through because of my diverse background: from the U.S. military and corporate America to marriage and divorce, parenthood and family blending.

Counseling is a unique relationship in which we focus our combined energies to benefit you and your relationships. My therapeutic approach is informed by psychodynamics and systems theory. What this means to you as clients is that my goal is to help you uncover new insights that were outside your conscious awareness and draw connections among patterns of coping in your life.

I work with individuals, couples, children, and families.

Individual Counseling

“The most profound relationship we will ever have is the one with ourselves.” ~Shirley MacLaine

Counseling is an important source of support for the challenges of daily living and for the major shifts demanded by momentous events in life. I have particular strength in providing support during life transitions such as divorce, life stage changes, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and healing from trauma. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches that support your goals and context with a particular focus on the mind-body connections. I use Mindfulness, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies, and Lifespan Integration.

Couples Counseling

Falling in love and having a relationship are two different things.” ~Keanu Reeves

It is never too late or too early to begin to work on your relationship. Couples typically wait an average of 6 to 7 years from the time they first begin to notice any of the issues and when they call a therapist. I focus on building strength at all stages of a relationship: pre-marital, blending families, specific issues, infidelity, and divorcing.

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Principles in working with couples. Together we will figure out the areas of strength in your relationship and areas for improvement. We will explore how you communicate and resolve conflict and build new skills in these areas so you can fall in love all over again.

I look forward to hearing from you. You can learn more about me at TheraPaige.com or call me for a free telephone consultation (206) 552-8207.
