I’m Dr. Adriel D. Johnson, Jr., a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctor of Behavioral Health. I work with individuals and couples who are looking for support, clarity, and real, practical change. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just trying to better understand yourself, I aim to provide a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely heard.

People come to me for many different reasons—anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, or just a sense that something isn’t quite right. No matter what brings you in, we’ll work together to make sense of what you’re experiencing and figure out what steps forward feel right for you.

My approach is both person-centered and solution-focused. That means I believe you already have strengths and insight—we just work together to tap into them. At the same time, I like to keep things practical. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking through problems; it’s also about finding tools and strategies you can actually use in your everyday life.
Building a strong, trusting relationship is a big part of the process. I do my best to create an environment where you feel comfortable being open without worrying about judgment. When that kind of space is there, it becomes easier to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and start making meaningful changes.

I also understand that life can feel overwhelming at times. When things seem too big or complicated, I help break them down into smaller, manageable steps so progress feels doable. We’ll move at a pace that works for you—challenging enough to grow, but not so much that it feels like too much.

In addition to individual therapy, I work with couples who want to improve communication, rebuild connection, or work through conflict in healthier ways. I also offer coaching for those looking to gain direction in their personal or professional lives.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s normal to have questions or hesitation. My goal is to make the process feel as comfortable and straightforward as possible. From the beginning, we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your needs and goals.
At the end of the day, I believe change is possible. With the right support, you can gain clarity, build confidence, and create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and true to who you are.
