I work with the fundamental impulse in all of us that is creator/creatrix.
Some of us are disconnected from - or even unaware of - this part of ourselves. For others, it is a major force in our lives (artists, healers, entrepreneurs, innovators, etc). Wherever you land in the cultivation of this relationship, my therapeutic practice uses creative process to support you if you are motivated towards or find yourself at the edge of transformation.
I support clients in:
cultivating richer relationships with self, others and community
deepening creative engagement with life
reconnecting with the body/soma
healing and expanding sexuality and eroticism
refining and deepening artistic/creative practice
Psychotherapy with an arts-based and somatic orientation
Integrative coaching in creative process and artistic practice
Arts-based facilitation and group work (both therapeutic and explorative/skill-building)
Alexandra brings a sophisticated, relational and holistic understanding of the creative process and healing to her sessions.
She holds a masters degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and maintains an active professional studio practice/career as a visual artist (installation and textile sculpture). She is a Certified Core Erotic Blueprints Coach, has completed further education in Pre/Perinatal Attachment Therapy, and has a long history of personal practice in various body-centred modalities and therapies, on both sides of the client/therapist relationship.
She has worked with groups and individuals for the past 7 years researching the themes of phenomenology, the body and creative praxis. Her approach is grounded, pragmatic, and loving. She likes to laugh and sometimes she swears.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I offer a free consultation/information session so we can assess if we are a good fit for each other.
