Amanda Burns is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) as well as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN). She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters in Clinical Counselling. Amanda has over 25 years of experience working in the mental health speciality and is an Othmer method certified neurofeedback clinician. She holds registration with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
Amanda provides comprehensive assessments and interventions to help others understand and manage their mental health from a biological, psychological, and social perspective. Amanda holds at the forefront the evidence-based concept of brain plasticity with its ability to change and adapt. Amanda understands that the brain often needs support to alter its way of manage life’s challenges and uses brain based interventions to help your brain learn and grow. Examples of interventions may be CBT, EMDR, neurofeedback and others.
