About My Approach

Hello and welcome.

I’m Amanda, a Registered Psychotherapist in Toronto offering a calm, steady space where you can slow down, breathe, and make sense of what you’re carrying. My work is grounded in the belief that our nervous systems are always trying to protect us, even when we feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what we need.

I work collaboratively and at your pace, helping you understand the patterns, pressures, and lived experiences that shape how you move through the world. Clients often describe my presence as warm, grounded, and clear—supportive without being pushy, and curious without judgment.

Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship patterns, identity questions, grief, or a general sense of being outside your window of tolerance, therapy with me offers a space where you can explore your inner world with compassion and steadiness. Many people find that as they feel more regulated and understood, they begin to experience greater clarity, confidence, and connection in their daily lives.
 How Therapy Feels With Me

In our work, you can expect a space that feels warm, regulated, and attuned to your nervous system. We might slow things down to notice what your body is holding, explore the stories and relationships that have shaped you, or identify practical tools that help you feel more grounded in daily life.

Over time, many clients find that therapy becomes a place where they can breathe more deeply, understand themselves more clearly, and move through their days with more ease and steadiness. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin—my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, clarity, and support.
 My Background & Training

As the director of a diverse, values‑driven team, my work is continually shaped by the clinicians I collaborate with and the communities I’m connected to. The perspectives within our team—ranging from somatic and attachment‑based work to Indigenous, spiritual, and mind‑body approaches—inform how I show up with clients and keep my work relational, flexible, and grounded in humility.
 My training includes:
  • Trauma‑informed, attachment‑focused, and nervous‑system‑based approaches
  • EMDR (Consultant‑in‑Training with EMDRIA)
  • Clinical supervision
  • Certified yoga teacher (RYT‑200), informing my body‑based, grounding‑oriented lens

These experiences shape the way I hold space: with steadiness, humility, and deep respect for the resilience people carry into the room. I also love mentorship and supporting new clinicians as they find their voice, confidence, and therapeutic identity.

If you’re feeling the pull toward support, even if you’re not sure where to begin, you’re welcome to reach out. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Together, we can create a space where you feel grounded, understood, and able to move at a pace that feels right for you. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own clarity, capacity, and sense of steadiness.
