I enjoy helping people and learning about the concerns they wish to address whether it is a personal concern that requires professional assistance to work through many layers of history, reflections, and thought or something else.
I am a well-seasoned clinician with my experience in private practice here at my Beachwood office which I first opened over 13 years ago. Here you will find a calm, quiet, and comforting place where you can share your private thoughts and experiment with your communication style without the usual social risks. You can voice your ideas, feel supported, and allow your new ideas shape into new opportunities and realities in your life whether you are trying to improve your relationships, advance in your personal endeavors, or develop a healthy lifestyle. Counseling can help set you in the right direction.

My services include the following:

Regular counseling services, following the medical model, where you are given an official diagnosis that can be submitted to insurance. This option offers standard care and the usual limitations on confidentiality, session frequency, and any limitations of your particular insurance plan. I accept some insurances (Medical Mutual, CareSource, Bureau of Workers Compensation) and also out-of-network benefits.

Advantages of Regular Counseling Services
  • Can be used to support Disability Claims and FMLA
  • Can provide consistent, standard care, typically limited to 53 minute sessions
  • Costs may be covered or partially covered by medical insurance

Disadvantages of Regular Counseling Services
  • Your information may be shared with insurance companies
  • Your information may be subpoenaed, though not necessarily accessed, for legal proceedings
  • You must have a medical diagnosis to make medical claims with insurance companies when this is not necessarily what you want

Concierge Services, which allow for services tailored to your specific wants and needs and are not confined by insurance limitations. These services include coaching, and non-medical private talk sessions scheduled for the amount of time that you need. For example, a couple or family in crisis may want to schedule an intensive session lasting for 4 hours in order to accomplish as much as possible or to explore in-depth a specific matter, such as a recent infidelity, or an unexpected death, or a major shift in a business venture. Another example is an individual who wants their therapist on-demand for a period of time, including weekends, holidays, where ordinarily a clinician would not be available and you would have to wait until the next business day or seek out emergency care. Space availability for these services is limited so that I can provide the highest level of responsiveness. These kinds of services are highly valuable and, because insurance does not cover for these services, they may only be accessed through private pay arrangements.

Advantages of Concierge Services
  • No medical diagnosis that becomes part of your permanent record
  • No documentation or access of your medical information by insurance companies
  • Greater level of privacy and confidentiality
  • Greater flexibility of services
  • Greater control over your sessions and what you discuss in your therapy

Disadvantages
  • Cannot be used for FMLA or Disability Claims
  • Costs can quickly add up

Consultation Services for Counselors and Psychotherapists
  • Hypnosis Consultations for Therapists
  • Focused Private Practice Consultations
  • Case Consultations
  • Independent Evaluation and Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters (Ohio only)
