Who is invited to speak into your heart? Who ignores your boundaries and barges in uninvited? Who offers unsolicited advice in ways that create more hurt than help? I am a seminary-trained pastor who has spent his full-time career as a pastoral counselor. For 20 years, I have helped thousands of clients understand the root of their pain as well as how to address it in ways that lead to genuine help and healing.
People are complex and cannot be reduced to a technique or theory. There is no one-size-fits-all. I approach each of my clients with compassion and curiosity. You will describe what led you to reach out for help. I will lead you in a process of resolution that occurs without judgment or assumption. I will invite you to share at your pace and support you with presence and empathy.
When your heart is breaking, everyone wants to tell you about a time theirs broke too. This is not what you need or want. You question the things you used to believe with confidence. Your emotional and spiritual landmarks have moved. Everyone wants to help. No one knows how. A time of heartache is often a time of isolation and loneliness.
I can help you process your struggle in a way that feels authentic to who you are and what you want to become. We will work together in the same direction: your goals.
As a minister, I can lead you through your goals in a manner consistent with Scripture. As a chaplain, I have been trained to work with individuals of all faiths (and none). I welcome clients struggling with
