It is easy to feel stuck and alone in times of stress and emotional turmoil and I am here to listen and provide support as we work together toward yours goals. By coming in for therapy, you will begin to have relief from troublesome emotions and obsessive thoughts. By setting and working towards specific goals you will begin to see progress and an increase in life satisfaction and overall well-being.
I have experience in treating and helping people find relief from anxiety, depression, and life stresses. I can help you improve your sense of identify and by addressing low self-esteem, body image issues, identity conflicts, and diminished sense of self-worth. I can help you work towards recovery from an eating disorder, addiction, and substance use. I can help you address and work through interpersonal relationships and conflicts individually or with a partner or family member. I can also help identify and find more effective ways to live with personality disorders traits.
Evidence-Based Therapeutic Approach
I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills to increasing self-awareness and mindfulness. DBT involves learning to manage challenging emotions and situations. In therapy, we will also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to focus on accepting the present moment and discovering value-based choices that will improve well-being. By applying these skills to your life you will begin to notice relief from intense and uncomfortable emotions because of your resilience and increased tolerance. We will work towards specific goals that decrease symptoms and lead to forward progress for your life. These are some of the most highly researched and successful therapeutic approaches to see improvement.
