CenterLife Counseling Clinic:

Life is complex, and at times can be very difficult.  You don't have to struggle through life's problems alone.  Counseling can help to sort things out, resolve past and present issues, and help clear your mind for sound decision-making.

Our therapists are experienced working with individuals, couples, and families to gather their own resources to work towards positive change.  We have 7 therapists and 2 interns that have years of experience working with individuals, families, couples, teens, and children on a wide range of relationship and mental health concerns.  Our licensed professionals are in-network providers for most major insurance companies and Employee Assistance Programs.

One of the biggest predictors of success of therapy is the level of connection that you feel with your therapist.

CenterLife Counseling Therapists:

Linda Vanden Brooke MA, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I bring to CenterLife Counseling a wealth of expertise from 22 years of experience working in the field of mental health.  My skills are diverse, evidence-based and tailored to the needs of each individual.  My style is empathic, insightful, and hopeful.
People that I enjoy working with include: adults, adolescents, children (ages 7-12), couples, families, and groups.  My specialty areas include: depression, anxiety, PTSD, physical, emotional and sexual trauma, life transistions, aging, grief, domestic violence, sexual identity issues and adjustment issues, self-esteem, veteran and military readjustment, and chronic pain and illness.  My 17+ years as a successful Level III trained EMDR clinician have made me a sought-out professional in the area of trauma therapy.  I am also a well respected trainer and facilitator in the field of psychotherapy.
I believe that when an individual, couple and/or fammily have the right support and guidance when life challenges occur, there can be less emotional upheaval and more success in navigating life's unpredictable challenges.  I believe in embracing and encouraging each individual's, couple and families' untapped potential.

Linda Cherek, MSW, LICSW, RN, FT
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

I use a cognitive behavioral/integrative approach to help clients make the necessary shifts in life to get what they need to heal from their losses and to find hope.  I believe that we live life seeking and finding satisfaction, contentment, inner peace, life direction and purpose.  My experience, education, wisdom and spirituality are the foundation of my unique perspective and of the skills that I bring to my psychotherapy practice.

My current specialty areas are with adults and older adolescents experiencing grief/loss associated with death, chronic illness, life transitions and losses, divorce, trauma recovery and women's issues.  I provide group facilitation programs and am a presenter locally and nationally on issues related to trauma, stress, loss, and bereavement ministry.

Rachael Gusaas M. Div., LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I have over 16 years of combined experience as a Pastor and Therapist working with individuals, couples and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My areas of special interest include couples’ therapy, premarital counseling, grief and loss, boundaries, trauma, depression, anxiety, and faith issues.  I have experience working with military couples, and I have a passion for working with individuals and families struggling with the fatigue and stress that accompanies caring for a sick or elderly loved one. My philosophy of therapy is holistic.  I believe people are made up of many parts – body, soul (mind, emotions, will) and spirit.  I, therefore, approach therapy from a systems perspective. I believe people exist in complex relationship systems and when any of these relationships are out of balance; there is a need for help, forgiveness, and healing.  My goal is to collaborate with clients, encourage them, and empower them to engage in authentic communication and healthy problem solving.

Gretchen Kirvida, MSW, LICSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.  My specialties include working with anxiety, depression, adjustment and transition, grief and loss, chronic and terminal disease.  Other areas of focus include relationship counseling with couples and families, counseling for emotional and behavioral disturbances in adolescents, and parenting support and education.

An emphasis of my work is on assisting individuals, couples, and families in recognizing and addressing not only areas of desired change, but areas of strength as well.  My goal is to facilitate the discovery of insight and understanding to promote human well-being, positive growth and change, and the potential for personal empowerment.

 Kim Lundholm-Eades, MS, LMFT, SEP
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
AAMFT, MAMFT and LPC Board Approved Supervisor

I have over 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health and chemical dependency.  I work with individuals, couples, familes, parents, and adolescents who are dealing with co-occurring disorders, addiction, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, communication, stepfamilies, boundaries, parenting, crisis intervention, career/work life issues and life transitions.  I have extensive experience with families and individuals experiencing the impact of chemical dependency and with Twelve-Step living.  I use a strength-based approach to therapy.  I strive to assist people to empower themselves and to have the courage to change the things that they can change.

Kim Surve MA, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I have 15 years of experience in the field of psychology. I work with individuals, adults, couples, adolescents, families, and children. I utilize play therapy to help children recover from trauma and abuse and also for children experiencing anxiety and depression due to life stressors. I also utilize Filial Therapy to strengthen parent-child relationships and reduce problematic behaviors such as tantrums and physical and verbal aggression. I frequently work with adults and adolescents experiencing any variety of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, parenting struggles, or family conflict. I am currently in series of Somatic Experiencing trainings that focuses on trauma recovery. I enjoy helping others find a welcoming in who they are and an enjoyment in their relationships.
