Christi is a Texas native who received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Sciences in 2000 at Concordia University at Austin.  Upon graduation, Christi began her career in the social services field as a case manager for MHMR, and later as a counselor for at-risk youth and their families in the Austin area. Soon after she was married, Christi and her husband moved to St. Louis, MO so that he could attend seminary while she continued to work full time in children's mental health within the foster care system. During the four years they lived in St. Louis, Christi attended Lindenwood University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007 with a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling.

Christi completed her post-graduate clinical work as a child and family therapist in Gulfport, MS during the hurricaine Katrina recovery effort, where she specialized in treating post-traumatic stress in children/adolescents and their families.  In 2012, she opened a private practice, where she specialized in couples/marriage counseling, and working with families raising children with challenging behaviors and special needs. She is passionate about helping family relationships stay intact, growing, thriving and resilient despite difficult circumstances. She is also a strong advocate for accessibility and affordability in counseling, and is committed to providing skilled expertise and compassionate therapy services at rates that more people in her community can can afford.

Christi is now an active duty Navy Chaplain's spouse and mother of two, the oldest of whom has autism. She maintains a private counseling practice online, serving clients in both Alaska and in Texas, providing therapeutic services to individuals and couples.
