Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is the leading provider of treatment for opioid addiction in Colton, California. Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program serves adults age 18 and older of all genders. We provide treatment for people who have addictions to OxyContin, heroin, morphine, and other opioids.

MAT helps those who are struggling with addiction through the use of FDA-approved prescription medications such as methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. These medications help decrease the severity of withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for patients to focus on long-term recovery. Opioid withdrawal can cause severe and even life-threatening symptoms. By easing the discomforts and hazards associated with withdrawal, our MAT program supports a safe detox process and increases the likelihood of recovery success.

MAT has been researched over many years and is found to be highly effective, especially for individuals who are at risk for experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other notable health organizations recommend medication-assisted treatment. Colton CTC is not a methadone clinic; we are a comprehensive outpatient addiction treatment center that provides an individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Methadone is effective in helping some people who have an opioid addiction, but it is not the best treatment for everyone. Some people who need treatment cannot take methadone because it causes unwanted side effects. By offering several medications, we can meet each person’s needs and provide effective support for long-term recovery.

To be approved for the Colton CTC MAT program, prospective patients must complete a detailed evaluation, including a mental and physical health assessment and addiction history. Our medical professionals use this information to determine which medications and other therapies will be most effective. Medication is only part of our overall treatment plan. Each patient also participates in individual and group therapy.

Counseling gives patients opportunities to resolve past traumas that may have contributed to the development of opioid addiction. Our counselors create safe environments where patients can share freely without judgment. In group therapy, participants share support with peers and practice the skills and strategies they need to prevent relapse.

Colton CTC patients benefit from a caring, welcoming environment. Our experienced staff is committed to helping patients identify and meet their wellness goals. Patients receive much more than medication at our treatment center; they receive individual attention, encouragement, and evidence-based therapies that can help them build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
