Cynthia Morales, M.A. began her private practice, Moment to Moment Counseling and Wellness, LLC, when she set her intention to offer her specialized counseling and wellness services to the Orlando, FL community. Cynthia is an Orlando native who decided to expand her practice as a mental health clinician to a private setting. She seeks to share her compassion for the wellness of those seeking to bring greater compassion into their own lives. Her mindfulness-based approach to counseling and wellness invites her clients to deepen their connection with self and with their lives, moment to moment. Cynthia uses a variety of techniques compatible with individuals of all ages, including CBT, expressive therapies and mindfulness.


Cynthia's educational background goes back to her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her studies continued at the University of Central Florida in the Counselor Education program, where she obtained her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as her certificate in Mental Health Counseling.
 
Since her studies, Cynthia has had the pleasure of connecting with individuals from many walks of life in a wide range of settings. She has expanded her repertoire during her time at the following organizations: a community counseling clinic; a residential program for severe and persistent mental illness; a halfway house for adolescent females; an alternative school for pregnant and parenting female adolescents; an outpatient clinic for individuals with HIV/AIDS and mental health disorders; an outpatient clinic for adolescents with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
 
Cynthia continues to be a student of her field through continuing education opportunities, which have included the following topics: Motivational interviewing, A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach), HIV/AIDS, LGBT+; trauma; relationships and mindfulness; EMDR.
 
In her personal life, Cynthia remains a student of her self by practicing yoga, running and meditation.
