Welcome and thank you very much for your time and consideration!

I look forward to assisting you if you are an adult suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder, specific fears and/or emotionally based unwanted cravings.

My Current Practice

My current practice is limited to individual adults focused on reversing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reducing anxiety, boosting mood, counteracting specific fears, providing practice with simple strategies to enhance coping with stressors, desensitizing traumatic life experience, reducing unwanted cravings and increasing self-esteem.

My practice accepts most insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, as well as self-pay patients.

My Experience

As a very experienced Board Certified Psychologist with more than 30 years experience. I have helped more than 1,700 adult patients suffering with PTSD and specific fears.

I have been a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist for over 20 years and know a lot about the brain.

As a board-certified neuropsychologist, I have much expertise and experience with evaluation and treatment of individuals with brain-injury, stroke and suspected dementia.

While I no longer conduct neuropsychological evaluations, my experience in this field has allowed me to learn much about the brain and behavior. I have often provided helpful insights into how brain function is related to trauma and distress and how Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy impacts brain functioning.

My work experience is extensive and includes:
  • Working as the neuropsychologist for a well-respected post-acute traumatic brain injury facility in Carbondale, Illinois for 3 years.
  • Director of Psychology and Neuropsychology for a Rehabilitation Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana
  • For 25 years I was the neuropsychologist at St. Alexius Medical Center.
  • Founded Dakota Trauma Therapy, PLLC located in beautiful downtown Bismarck, North Dakota was started in December of 2020.
