My name is Debbie Welsh, I have been counselling for over 10 years and I specialize in couple's therapy, mental health and addiction and trauma therapy for clients in Fraser Valley geographical area and via Instant Messaging/Skype.
Are you having the same fight over and over again? Are you continually falling into the same patterns day after day? Would you like to learn how to break your current cycle and re-establish a deeper connection to your partner again? If so, I provide emotionally focused couple's therapy - a highly proven technique that is successful for helping clients to learn new cycles of being (dancing) together in relationship.
MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION
I offer mental health and addiction healing through the use of motivational interviewing, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also teach mindfulness strategies to help with managing urges and cravings to help with the sobriety and relapse prevention process.
I offer EMDR (eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing) as a highly successful therapeutic technique for treating trauma, complex trauma and PTSD. EMDR with the assistance of the brain helps to remove trauma from the nervous system allowing for re-balancing and deeper healing.
