At Phoenix Health, we understand that the journey to and through motherhood can be one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of your life. It can be a time of immense joy, but it can also bring unexpected pain, anxiety, and a profound sense of being lost. If you are feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or simply not yourself, please know you are not alone, and you have found a safe place to land.

Our practice was founded from a deep, personal understanding of the gaps in our healthcare system. We saw that too many parents were left to navigate the immense emotional challenges of this period without the specialized support they needed and deserved. We created Phoenix Health to be the resource we wished we had—a warm, accessible, and expert community dedicated to your mental and emotional well-being.

Our Qualifications and Competence

We believe that when you are navigating something as specific as perinatal mental health, you deserve a specialist. Our team is composed of licensed psychologists and therapists who have dedicated their careers to this work. Every provider at Phoenix Health has advanced, specialized training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), with many holding the distinguished Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). This isn't just a job for us; it is our passion and our calling. We are competent and confident in our ability to help you navigate the complexities of this life stage.

Our Approach and the Benefits to You

Our therapeutic approach is warm, integrative, and always centered on you. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, we draw from a range of evidence-based practices to create a plan that fits your unique needs. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help you identify and change the unhelpful thought patterns that can fuel anxiety and depression.
  • Trauma-Focused Approaches: To gently process and heal from difficult experiences like birth trauma or the grief from a devastating pregnancy loss, miscarriage, or stillbirth.
  • Mindfulness Practices: To help you stay grounded in the present moment and manage overwhelming emotions and intrusive thoughts.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy: To explore the deeper, often unconscious, patterns that may be influencing your current feelings, especially as old wounds resurface on the path to parenthood.

When you work with us, you can expect to be met with genuine compassion and without judgment. The benefit of our approach is not just feeling understood, but feeling empowered. Our goal is to help you build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and cultivate a sense of self-compassion that will serve you long after our sessions end. We want to help you not just survive, but thrive.

Specialized Support for Your Unique Journey

We specialize in the full spectrum of perinatal mental health. Whether you are struggling with the emotional rollercoaster of infertility, the anxiety of a new pregnancy, or the fog of postpartum depression, we are here for you. We provide a safe space to process your story and find a path toward healing.

Because we are a telehealth-only practice, our sessions are convenient and accessible from the comfort and privacy of your own home—no need to worry about travel or childcare.
Taking the first step to ask for help is an act of courage. At Phoenix Health, we are honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward restoration, growth, and finding yourself again.
