We want to be listened to. We want to untangle our lives. We want to understand our emotions. We want more for ourselves. And we want be at peace with our decisions. I work well with couples experiencing relationship roadblocks, adults seeking clarity and fulfillment, college students looking for direction, and adolescents learning to adjust to new challenges. We will form a partnership to find change, peace of mind, well-being, and happiness. I will be there with you for professional guidance and support as you work to improve your life. I have worked with clients from all walks of life.

Regardless of the letters after a therapist's name, if there is no connection, then you may not get the most from your time and effort in therapy. I strive to engage clients from the start and remain a partner on your path forward. My style is conversational and friendly. I blend different approaches as needed to fit your needs as an individual. I can provide high-feedback sessions for busy people who would prefer an up-front approach. I also work with court-ordered domestic violence and anger management clients in a six-month program format.

My Role as a Therapist. Psychotherapy doesn't have to be
boring or feel like work. My goal as a therapist is to have a great
conversation with you and try and help make the hard work seem less
difficult, feel less painful, and even sometimes make it fun. I view it
as my responsibility to use my empathy, education, experience,
personality, intelligence, and sense of humor as tools to help you make
your breakthroughs in therapy.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?Like everything else in
life, the first move is the hardest. If you are searching for a
therapist or counselor then you are probably serious about trying
therapy. Allow yourself to pick one that feels right to you and take
that step.
Important Factors for Choosing a TherapistCall them on the
phone. You will have a better idea if you will click with a therapist or
counselor if you talk to them and get a feel for the way they interact.
After all, most of your time spent together in therapy will be spent
talking.
Importance of the Client-Therapist AllianceThis is
important. You are allowed to visit more than one therapist when
searching for the right fit for you. Every therapist has a different
style and personality. Find one that makes you comfortable and you are
more likely to see results.
