My name is Geoff Williams and I am of English, Scottish, Welsh, and St'at'imc ancestry. I have over 20 years of clinical experience since 2005, am registered as an RCC and Clinical Social Worker, and have degrees in clinical social work, indigenous history, and psychology.
Working with Couples
My specializations include affair recovery, healthy boundaries, better communication, emotional reconnection, separation, divorce, and addictions. I use the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach that helps relationships succeed and thrive. My approach includes new ways of communicating to work through stuck patterns and restore intimacy. If there has been infidelity, this means deciding if trust can be rebuilt, and if it can, creating lasting emotional connection. When barriers are removed, revitalizing connection, intimacy, and new directions becomes possible.
Working with Individuals
I specialize in ADHD (attention difficulties, distractibility, impulsivity), anxiety disorders including social anxiety, constant worry, and panic symptoms, as well as anger management, addictions, and sports performance. I offer CBT, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy—tools for handling painful feelings and thoughts so you can be happier and more successful. Most importantly, I prioritize our therapeutic relationship and connection for the change you need.
Assessment Services
I provide authorized mental health assessments for ADHD, Anxiety, and Substance Use disorders, with shorter waitlists than many practitioners. My approach is strength-based while meeting all legal requirements.
Practical Details
My services are covered by nearly all insurance providers, including First Nations Health Authority, Blue Cross, Sun Life, ICBC, and others. Sessions are available in-person at 1863 Oak Bay Avenue, by video, or by phone.
