ABOUT ME:
I am the owner and CEO of the Progression Counseling Group and have been a practicing clinician since 2002.  I graduated from Ohio University with an undergraduate degree in special education and a graduate degree in counselor education. My clients know me to be supportive, yet having a direct, solution focused approach. I am considered genuine, empathetic, and has a high regard to ethical and legal standards of practice. I started my career as an outpatient counselor helping adults and older adults in a community mental health setting. I have performed contract work with the juvenile court systems as well as state children’s services boards. Prior to starting my own practice, I spent several years serving as an administrator in long-term residential settings. I am experienced in helping both children/adolescents and adults with severe mental illness, various mood disorders, substance abuse and dependency disorders, disorders related to anxiety, disorders related to compulsions, behavioral disorders, those with LBGTQ+ related issues, and those who are sexual offenders. Throughout the years, I have additionally enjoyed developing and facilitating trainings for the community and professionals. I have had extensive post-graduate training related to community and individual crisis, drug and alcohol dependency, as well as working with multi-ethnic populations and various religious cultures.  I have served on several boards and coalitions aimed at helping the undeserved populations. I am passionate about work related to suicide prevention and serving those in marginalized communities.

WHO WE ARE:
My practice, Progression Counseling Group, provides mental health and substance abuse outpatient services. Individual counseling services are available to both men and women as well as youth ages 5 and up. The practice additionally offers couples counseling, family counseling and group counseling services. As the practice offers both in-person and teletherapy, services are available to anyone in the State of Ohio. Therapeutic services offered, help individuals relieve pain, address struggles, and improve various aspects of life. Multiple, licensed therapists, offer services at the practice. Therapists work with clients to help increase self-awareness/insight, facilitate growth, decrease negative patterns of thinking and behavior, and provide tools for better coping, functioning, and problem resolution.
