I am a seasoned Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist with decades of experience working with clients facing a wide range of life challenges. I have spent a good portion of my career working with clients who are experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, stress, decision making challenges, relationship difficulties, and chronic illness.

I tend to engage with deep warmth, and genuine compassion for human suffering, working with clients to reframe the role challenges play in life. My current clients often tell me they feel relieved to find a new way of looking at, and thinking about problems. They appreciate my perceptive and gentle approach, based on respect for differences, and a recognition of inherent strengths.

I prefer a fluid approach to therapy, focusing on discovering your challenging story, and finding concrete solutions to problems. Together we locate that moment in therapy when a shift in understanding occurs, and new way of being in a problem emerges.

One of our central needs as humans is to be seen, and to be heard.....to have deep space and understanding held for our suffering, and to have it mirrored back with kindness and support. That experience, in conjunction with concrete strategy development, can lead to meaningful change, and a sense of relief.

I work with adults over 18 , including issues related to the third act of life ( 60- 90).

I work from a home based office setting which I hope you will find comfortable and welcoming, or we can talk on the phone or over the computer.
