I love working with folks navigating trauma and/or neurodivergence. Neurodivergence can show up in a variety of ways, and I believe in maintaining an adaptable and person-centered approach when describing or labeling neurodiversity. Although I do not believe having a specific label is necessary in order to work with neurodiversity, some of the labels associated with neurodiversity that I work with include: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, highly sensitive persons, borderline personality disorder/(complex) post-traumatic stress disorder/dissociative identity disorder, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

If you're feeling alone, scared to be yourself or even unsure of who you really are, or stuck in rigid patterns that aren't serving you anymore, I can offer you a soft landing to explore these challenges with someone who can relate. As someone who is personally neurodivergent and trauma recovering, I have a deep connection to this work. You won’t have to over-explain yourself to me or worry about me making assumptions about how you should think, feel, or behave.

My style is direct, honest, engaged, warm, and empathetic. In sessions, I blend EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic/body-centered techniques, creativity, and mindfulness to create a dynamic approach. We might use EMDR to reprocess difficult memories and reduce their emotional disturbance, somatic exercises to tune into how your body holds emotion and invite their release, creative activities which might help you express what feels hard to say and to help the therapy not feel so serious all the time, and mindfulness practices to help you build emotional awareness and tolerance for stress.

I approach therapy holistically considering the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I integrate somatic techniques, mindfulness, and creative interventions to support healing on all levels. My goal is to empower folks to connect deeply with themselves and navigate life's challenges from a place of wholeness. My therapeutic foundation is rooted in humanistic therapy, which, to me, means that the therapy I offer is genuine, empathic, focuses on the importance of having a strong therapeutic relationship, and involves maintaining unconditional openness and acceptance for whoever I am working with regardless of their thoughts feelings, or behaviors.
Whether we're sitting attentively in our chairs working on deep processing or hanging out on the floor with some snacks and coloring books, the therapy we do together adapts to what your system needs in order to feel secure. If you're ready to start addressing what’s been weighing on you, I’m here to listen and work with you at your pace.
