Dealing with life's challenges and stresses can be incredibly overwhelming. During those times, it’s common to rely on coping strategies that can lead to negative outcomes such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship problems, difficulty adapting to life's changes, anger issues, or substance abuse.

For over 35 years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate personal and relationship challenges. With a Master of Arts in Psychology, I am a registered Counselling Therapist and Addiction Counsellor through the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (ACTA), as well as certified by the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation.

I provide personal therapy and relationship (family, couple, throuple, or pod) therapy.  Sessions are available in-office and remotely.  I am accepting new clients and offering a free 15-minute virtual consultation for those seeking personal therapy, relationship therapy, or clinical supervision.

When you work with me, you'll find a compassionate listener who genuinely strives to understand your unique experiences and the various factors that have shaped who you are. Together, we can work towards developing new coping skills, alleviating anxiety and depression, enhancing your communication and relationships, building self-esteem, and improving your quality of life. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.

I employ an integrative counselling approach, drawing from my diverse background and skills to create a therapeutic experience tailored to your needs and counselling goals.  My primary therapeutic approach revolves around the following cognitive therapies:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This is a type of talk therapy that can help you understand how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviours.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This is a form of CBT that focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviours, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviours.
  • Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). This approach focuses on helping you identify self-defeating thoughts and feelings, challenge the nature of irrational and unproductive thoughts, and replace them with healthier, more productive beliefs.
  • Narrative therapy. This is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals become and embrace being experts in their own lives.
