John Rigoli is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. He specializes in working with children, teens and adolescents on anger management, attachment issues and social skills.

He is currently serving in a private practice with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are relationship and couples therapy and utilizes The Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy. In addition, he utilizes his training in EMDR to treat PTSD and trauma victims.

John has experience working with children, teens and adolescents in both the school and office environment. He worked within the local grammar, middle and high schools facilitating groups on anger management, social skills and changing families. He has training in sand tray and play therapy and utilizes this training to gain rapport and acceptance with his young clients. John teaches his clients about emotions and how to manifest these emotions in a positive and productive manner. His experience in treating trauma and loss, offers the client an ability to process their individual traumas in a positive manner, rather than anger or self-harm. Clients are taught positive ways to manifest their negative emotions

John is an interactive, client-centered therapist and utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) therapy in his practice. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
