No matter what you are going through, if you feel what you are experiencing is adversely affecting your life and is keeping you from reaching your goals, then it's a problem worthy of dedicated focus.

Therapy can also be useful if you aren't necessarily experiencing difficulty but would like to work on personal discovery or self-improvement.

I offer online therapy to individual adults with a range of issues but my areas of focus are:
Men's relationships and emotions as well as adjustment to changes in gender relationsWork Life Stress, Trauma and BurnoutChildhood Trauma and Narcissistic Abuse and Medication Support.

I am non-judgmental and conversational while still being analytical and theoretically informed. I place a strong emphasis on finding points of connection with my clients and establishing a positive relationship that allows for deeper exploration.  I am transparent and present my authentic self in sessions in order to foster trust and vulnerability on both sides of the relationship.

Studies have shown that the best predictor of success in therapy is one's relationship with one's therapist.  To this end, I offer a complimentary 30 minute meeting for all prospective clients to see how well our interactive styles, personalities and perspectives work together.

I strive to provide:
Support, empathy, honest dialogue, a clear-sighted outside, perspective, and  actionable tools and resources

When our situations become too overwhelming, we tend to revert to old coping tools developed long ago to deal with childhood adversity we may no longer even remember.  You may be in a situation where these old tools are negatively affecting your relationships, your work, your emotional health and your physical health.  We need to understand and honor those older tools that allowed you to get where you are today while at the same time working toward building new, more relevant skills designed to address present concerns and take you out of a dynamic where you are reacting to the past.

There is value in your suffering as well as your success.  The therapeutic relationship is designed to help you decide how to leverage all your experiences to allow you to move forward  with more clarity and strength.  We will not aim for perfection but instead for growth. This comes from the flexibility found in vulnerability, authenticity, and self-awareness.

My practice is strength focused and designed to help you use what is working for you in order to address the things that are not.

I believe the best therapists are well-rounded and possess a variety of personal and work experiences outside the field of psychotherapy.  I come to private practice after a number of years in marketing, business operations and sales, mostly in the world of fine dining.  For years I also worked in social services in Seattle.

I have pursued my own personal therapy and have experienced many different therapists and modalities so I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the "couch" so to speak.

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a masters degree in psychology from Seattle University's existential-phenomenology program.

I have helped many clients create better relationships with themselves and others.   I look forward to working with you.
