I am an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor. I have a long personal and professional history with addiction, mental illness, and trauma. I specialize in counseling addiction clients who struggle with men's issues, childhood trauma, and emotion regulation. However, that is by no means a complete list of the issues I can assist you with. Addiction reaches into and distorts nearly every facet of our lives. It could be worsening your anxiety and depression, sabotaging your romantic relationships, crushing you under a mountain of shame, or in general just screwing up your life - regardless of where addiction has taken you, I will always be an unbiased source of encouragement, guidance, and support. I hold myself to a high ethical standard, and as such you can feel safe knowing that your treatment will be regarded with absolute confidentiality. I work with adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families.

The therapeutic relationship works like this. Together we will discover thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that just aren't working for you anymore. We will then get to forming new behaviors, perspectives, and strategies that will help you live a more fulfilling and purpose driven life. The journey will have ups and downs, but I will be there to support you the entire way. We will work to unravel the wreckage of the past so that you may move forward unburdened by the weight and wounds you have found yourself carrying.

I have a passion for philosophy and love to foster the growth of self-observation, purposeful thought, and curiosity in life. I firmly believe that any individual with a why to live for can bear any how. With that in mind I focus on aiding those who come into my care with embracing a purpose which will justify overcoming their darkest days and direct them on their way to their brightest ones. There is much suffering in the world, that is unavoidable, but you do not need to suffer needlessly. Addiction is a form of suffering that imprisons and silences what makes us who we are.
