Insurance Information:
I am a private pay practice, and can provide monthly superbills to clients to provide to their insurance for potential out of network reimbursement. Clients are able to pay using credit card, HSA cards, or cash if in person services are provided.

Why Work With Me?

If you are seeking therapy for your yourself via telehealth or in person:

I serve clients seeking a depthful and supportive therapy space who want to explore how they show up in relationship to others and themselves.

I offer a unique service to my clients that melds "talk therapy" with embodied relational work that will help you connect with yourself and with others, discover your patterns in behavior, and unpack what's most important to you and your growth. In addition, I utilize creative arts therapies for exploring topics difficult for words. For those not interested in creative arts and embodied work, I offer "talk therapy" as well. Often, our work is a blend. Therapy is a co-created experience between therapist and client. I don’t provide creative arts therapies to clients who prefer to talk during their sessions if it's not what they want. I work with adults who are open to expressive arts practices, and I work with adults who prefer to talk during session. All formats are welcome, and I will cater services to meet the client’s needs. Foundational pieces of therapy with me include exploring patterns of behavior, understanding how these patterns came to be, and re-writing your internal scripts to move towards change you want to see in your life. What is conscious, we control, and what is unconscious controls us. We play with these patterns in session to explore alternatives, unlearning ways of being and learning new ways to be in the world through experiential activities and discussion.

I have been focusing on working with grieving individuals, and have become a Certified Grief Professional trained by Megan Devine, supporting those who have lost the most significant individuals in a real, authentic way of holding your grief while moving through your life. Unlike what is frequently assumed in pop culture, grieving the loss of a loved one is not a five-stages-of-grief experience. In fact, Kubler-Ross created the stages of grief for those in their dying process, not those left in the wake of their death. Late in her career, Kubler-Ross spoke out again the overgeneralization of that practice.

Grief is a highly avoided topic in our culture, and those who are grieving are often left not only grieving their loved one, but grieving the way in which they engaged in the world before their loss. Much of my work is aligned with Megan Devine’s grief work. Unlike other therapeutic work, grief work is not the Hero’s Journey of making meaning and growth through harrowing experience. Grief is painful. The pain of grief doesn’t go away, but the suffering we experience can be transformed.

I also have extensive experience working with historical trauma in clients lives, having worked in community mental health for over a decade. My work utilizes exposure therapy techniques in embodied, relational and playful ways to titrate building a sense of safety in your nervous system and build confidence in client’s perspective to change how they feel about themselves, others and the world.

My Mission:
My mission is to provide quality individual therapy for adults, the LGBTIQ+ community, highly sensitive people and neurodivergent individuals, grieving individuals, trauma survivors, and support for those in the music industry professionals and their families.

My work is rooted in seeking the source of behaviors through attachment theory and psychodynamic work, neurobiology, and systemic family therapy and embodied in modalities like play therapy, drama therapy and family play therapy (or, Filial Therapy). I help my clients realize their resiliency to difficulty in life, including trauma, transitions, grief, and identity exploration. The goal is not to avoid difficulty, but to understand that difficulties happen, and we can experience them and know how to care for ourselves to get through them.

My Goals:
My goal is to empower clients using my training as a drama therapist, play therapist, grief therapist, and mental health therapist. I offer a unique service to my clients that has its foundation in the therapeutic relationship, and is driven by the client's needs and strengths. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience, and the modality in which we work is catered to your specific needs, whether it's expressive arts, talk therapy, or embodied relational therapy.
